Fundamental Beliefs for Fellowship

We believe…

... God, the creator of heaven, earth and all that exists (Genesis 1:1), is the one and only God (Exodus 20:2-3).

… Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and came into this world through a virgin birth of a woman named Mary (Luke 1:26-35). A living example of our walk upon this earth, He dwelt among mankind to demonstrate the will of God, our Father, while fulfilling the Holy Scriptures, which is the inspired Word of God. Being fully God and fully man, He humbled Himself and became a servant to those in need (Philippians 2:5-11). He was moved with compassion for others and brought healing and wholeness as He reached out to them (Matthew 14:14). He lived a life without sin in obedience to His Father’s will and the written Word (1 Peter 1:18-19).

…Forsaking all else, Christ gave Himself up as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, the ultimate offering of love and mercy (Romans 3:25). He suffered and died upon a cross while taking the sins of the world upon Himself. Through His death and resurrection, He has offered forgiveness and eternal life to all who would come to believe upon Him (John 3:16).

…We are to be followers of the Lord Jesus and to continue to live out the example He provided on this earth. Fulfilling the commission He gave before His ascension into heaven, we are to share the Good News of His sacrifice to all until His return, which we expectantly await (Matthew 28:19-20).

….We are not alone in this world as He has sent the Holy Spirit to be with us as a teacher and guide and the One who convicts us of sin and draws us unto the Father (John 14:15-18).

… We, as Christ’s followers, are given authority through His name to accomplish His will upon this earth (Matthew 28:18).

… The Holy Scriptures are the inspired and infallible Word of God. Jesus, who was the Word of God made flesh, lived out the scriptures upon this earth as an example for all to follow (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
